Attorneys Jaime N. Doherty & Emily J. Mueller of Goehring, Rutter & Boehm serve as panelists at the 2011 Fall Conference of Townships, Boroughs & Authorities

Jaime Doherty, a veteran speaker at the conference, addressed the attendees with common “Do’s and Don’ts” related to Procurement and Bidding, with an emphasis on common pitfalls, when preparing to place a bid. Jaime advises her clients on public procurement and bidding laws, risk allocation and managing risk in contract formation. She negotiates and implements uniform contract provisions with dispute resolution, insurance and bonding provisions. Her suite of construction documents are accepted by design professionals and construction management organizations working in the public sector and education arenas throughout Pennsylvania with $300 million dollars in public school construction completed, without claims. 

Emily Mueller provided an update on the Right-to-Know Law, including recent cases and new developments. Emily assists municipal clients with reviewing and responding to requests for public records pursuant to the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law.  Emily also handles the appeal of a municipal denial of a Right-to-Know Law request to the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records.
