Emily J. Mueller presents at the 45th Annual Joint Fall Conference of Townships, Boroughs and Authorities

This year's 45th Annual conference was held at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, spanning the weekend of September 28 — October 1, 2017. The conference hosts over 100 delegates from around Western Pennsylvania for a series of educational programs, insight and networking.

Emily Mueller moderated a discussion on the various tools municipalities may use to fight blight within their communities. With her lead, attendees were encouraged to share about their experiences and concerns. Emily answered questions and provided input on blight fighting strategies, including discussing strategies that have proven successful for her clients. Attendees were also enlightened by many of their contemporaries in the audience, as they also shared their success stories and how they achieved desired results.

Emily serves as Solicitor to Harrison Township, and also provides legal counsel to the firm's municipal clients, including Zoning Hearing Boards and Planning Commissions. She is broadly experienced in prosecuting zoning ordinance violations, including property maintenance issues and demolition proceedings, and also assists many of the firm's municipal and school district clients with reviewing and responding to requests for public records under Pennsylvania's Right-to-Know Law and representing clients in appeals before the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records.
