Megan M. Ott serves as a panelist at the Local Government Academy's 2011-2012 Newly Elected Officials Course

On November 19, 2011, Megan served as a solicitor in a “mock council meeting,” aimed to demonstrate the logistics of council meetings to newly elected officials. Legal issues were written into the script of the mock meeting and as solicitor, Megan acted and instructed on the law.

The Newly Elected Officials Course is an opportunity for first-time elected officials to become better acclimated to their role before formally serving, as well as a refresher course for more experienced officials. The program is interactive, putting an emphasis on networking and open conversation to enhance the experience of the attending officials.

Megan is a member of our School and Municipal Law Group at Goehring, Rutter & Boehm. She represents schools and municipalities in all matters of organization, finance, legal compliance, labor and employment litigation. Megan serves as Solicitor of Conway Borough and the Kennedy Township Uniform Construction Code Appellate Board.
