Wendy Denton Heleen presents to the Pittsburgh Planned Giving Council

On September 20, 2016, Wendy addressed the members of the Pittsburgh Planned Giving Council on the importance of choosing and/or serving as the Executor of an estate. Explaining the detailed role of Executor, and also the potential need to probate, Wendy walked the crowd through many points to consider, providing directives and insight along the way. Often a misunderstood part of the process, Wendy also provided an overview of Inheritance Tax, explaining the percentage breakdowns and what to expect regarding taxes.

Wendy specializes in all matters relating to planning and dealing with incapacity and death, including charitable planning and estate and trust documents.  She advises her clients in regard to probate and non-probate matters, beneficiary designations and planning to minimize income, gift, Federal estate and state inheritance tax.  She also advises decedent’s family members on estate administration procedures, including the preparation of death tax returns and the establishment of trusts.

Meeting every other month, the Pittsburgh Planned Giving Council is a group of professionals committed to promoting gifts to charity as a positive way to achieve individual estate planning objectives through education.
