Jake is a member of the firm’s School & Municipal Law and Municipal Tax & Creditors’ Rights Groups. He currently serves as Municipal Solicitor to the boroughs of Bradford Woods, Green Tree and Oakmont. As a Municipal Solicitor, Jake has extensive experience in running public meetings and hearings, ordinance and resolution drafting, contract review, and assisting clients with zoning and land use issues, property maintenance issues and employment matters. He also has considerable exprerience with assisting school and municipal clients with reviewing and responding to requests for public records under Pennsylvania's Right-to-Know Law, and handling real estate assessment appeals before the Allegheny County Board of Property Assessment Appeals and Review and Board of Viewers. Jake also serves as Solicitor to the Allegheny Valley Joint Sewage Authority, the Aliquippa and Oakmont Planning Commissions, and the Sewickley and Wilkinsburg Civil Service Commissions.
As part of the firm's Municipal Creditors' Rights group, Jake works with the firm's municipal clients to collect current and delinquent taxes and municipal claims. He also has considerable experience in representing individuals and municipal clients in real estate matters, including the Abandoned and Blighted Property Conservatorship Act, partition actions and quiet title actions.
