On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, Jaime Doherty presented as part of the National Business Institute's (NBI) seminar on "Negotiating Indemnification, Representations, Warranties and More in Business Contracts" in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Jaime's presentation, "Contract Negotiation: Tips, Trends and Other Key Considerations," addressed updates to the state and federal caselaw, as well as to the Uniform Commercial Code. Jaime provided examples of "best practices" in contract negotiation, including as it related to forum selection, e-contracting and electronic signatures, multi-party negotiations, and proper identification of all parties and agents.
Jaime serves as the Chair of the firm's Litigation Group, with a practice including defense of insured general, professional and employment practices liability claims, toxic tort and multi-party litigation, commercial and construction litigation, and insurance coverage analysis. Her clients include corporations, insurance carriers, title insurers, governmental entities, professional and recreational associations, design professionals, developers, and regional contractors and subcontractors.
