As a school and municipal solicitor, Kate Diersen brings with her a broad experience in a variety of issues that arise for GRB's municipal and public sector clients. Kate is experienced in running public meetings and hearings to ensure compliance with the Sunshine Law and local meeting protocol. She counsels the firm's municipal and school clients on everyday issues that arise, but also more complex matters such as labor and employment, compliance, and land use issues. Kate is experienced in both settings, a municipal meeting and courtroom, and has successfully argued cases in front of local magistrates, the Court of Common Pleas, and at Commonwealth Court.
Kate also serves as Solicitor to the Borough of Bradford Woods and Western Allegheny Municipal Authority, as well as Special Counsel to the City of Aliquippa's planning commission.
In addition to her role as solicitor, Kate also works with the firm's Municipal Creditors Rights Group to ensure the fair and efficient collection of municipal taxes.
