Wendy, co-Chair of the Estate Planning & Administration Group, left her job as a trust administration officer at what was Mellon Bank in the summer of 1991 specifically to become an estates and trusts attorney. With knowledge of estate/trust planning and administration garnered over her 5 years at Mellon Trust and one year of law school under her belt, she started at GRB Law in the summer of 1992 and has been with the firm since.
Wendy is honored to have worked with and been mentored by the late Raymond R. Goehring, Jr., before his death in 2002. She specializes in all matters relating to planning and dealing with incapacity and death, including charitable planning and estate and trust documents. She advises her clients in regard to probate and non-probate matters, beneficiary designations, and planning to minimize income, gift, federal estate tax and state inheritance tax.
She also advises decedents' family members on estate administration procedures, including the preparation of death tax returns and the establishment of trusts. Her clients and mentee attorneys at the firm tell her that she explains complex legal and tax matters in understandable ways.
Wendy is a "people" person and is involved in many pursuits outside of GRB Law including serving as a Deacon at Southminister Presbyterian Church in Mt. Lebanon (where she lives) and ringing in the adult bell choir at the Oakmont Presbyterian Church (where she used to live). Wendy works primarily out of the North Hills office and spends at least one day a week at the Oakmont office.
