In addition to leading the firm's Municipal Tax & Creditors' Rights Group, Mike also practices within the Real Estate and School & Municipal Law Groups.
Mike represents individuals, businesses and municipal corporations in commercial and residential real estate matters, zoning, eminent domain, real estate related litigation and creditor’s rights. He also represents lending institutions in financing and real estate transactions. Mike is a solicitor to zoning hearing boards and counsel to several municipal corporations in eminent domain and in municipal creditor’s rights matters.
His work on the Building Committee of Saints John and Paul Parish lead to what has been referred to as a "leap of faith." In a situation where two church communities were restricted by space and/or financial situations, Mike contributed his legal expertise in arranging a land swap. SS. John and Paul Parish located and obtained an assignable option on a different property for New Heights Church of God and agreed to build New Heights a church on that property. In return, New Heights transferred its property to SS. John and Paul, giving the Parish sufficient acreage to construct a new church.
In addition, he serves as counsel to a corporation engaged nationally in the business of purchasing and servicing the collection of local real estate tax and municipal liens.
