As a school and municipal solicitor, Kate Diersen's broad experience covers a variety of issues that arise for GRB's municipal and public sector clients. While she is oftentimes called upon to handle everyday issues that arise, she also counsels on more complex matters, such as labor and employment, compliance, and land use issues.
Kate is experienced in both settings, a municipal meeting and courtroom, and has successfully argued cases in front of local magistrates, the Court of Common Pleas, and at Commonwealth Court.
Along with this new appointment, she serves as Solicitor to the Borough of Bradford Woods, Conway and Oakmont, as well as the Western Allegheny Municipal Authority. She also serves as Special Counsel to the City of Aliquippa's planning commission. Familiar with Green Tree Borough, she recently served as solicitor to the borough's zoning hearing board.
In addition to her role as solicitor, Kate also works with the firm's Municipal Creditors Rights Group to ensure the fair and efficient collection of municipal taxes.
