On March 25, 2022, Kate Diersen served as a presenter in an online CLE regarding property tax appeals in Allegheny County. Joined by an attorney that represents property owners, as well as the Solicitor for Property Assessment Appeals and Review Board Open Records Officer Information (BPAAR) and the Administrative Chair of the Board of Viewers (BOV), Kate provided insight and expertise from the perspective of a school solicitor.
Together, the group gave a broad overview of local rules and procedures for appeal, general practice tips, advice on managing client expectations and recent cases and developments. The webinar provided two substantive CLE credits and was a great discussion for attorneys that represent property owners or taxing bodies or for any attorney with interest in real estate in Allegheny County.
As a school and municipal solicitor, Kate has a broad experience in a variety of issues that arise for the firm's municipal and public sector clients. She also works with the firm's Municipal Tax & Creditors' Rights Group to ensure the fair and efficient collection of municipal taxes.
